Information on here: http://aeltc2010.wimbledon.org/en_GB/about/tickets/tickets.html
Personally, I'll be on a 2-pronged attack - buttering up to my mum who is a member of a tennis club (so can apply through the clubs' ballot) and applying for my own tickets through the Public Ballot.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Applying for the 2011 Public Ballot
Applications for the 2011 Public Ballot will be accepted from August 2010 until December 2010.
The majority of Centre, No.1 and No.2 Court tickets are sold in advance via a public ballot. Entry into the ballot does not automatically entitle applicants to tickets for Wimbledon but a place in the draw for tickets.
STEP ONE
You may apply for the 2011 Public Ballot from 1 August 2010.
You need to fill in a Public Ballot application form:
To obtain an application form, send in a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: AELTC, P.O. BOX 98, London SW19 5AE by 15 December 2010.
No letter required. If you do not send in a stamped, self-addressed envelope, you will not receive a form.
There is a separate ballot for wheelchair spaces so please make sure you write clearly “WHEELCHAIR” on both the outer and on your return envelope.
Non-UK residents should send in an International Reply Coupon instead of a stamp. If your post office does not provide these, please send your self-addressed envelope with a letter.- The self-addressed, stamped envelope should have your return address and should be approximately 110mm x 220mm, (4 1/4 " x 8 5/8")
- Requests postmarked after 15 December 2010 will NOT be processed
- We will not issue forms to personal callers after 15 December 2010.
After we receive the self-addressed, stamped envelope, we will send you an application form.
STEP THREE
You will need to complete and return the application form before 31 December 2010 to be entered into the ballot.- Read and follow the instructions carefully before completing the form. If you break any of the rules all tickets you may be offered will be cancelled.
- Completed forms must be returned no later than 31 December 2010.
- Send completed forms to: AELTC, P.O. BOX 98, London SW19 5AE
- No S.A.E. required
There will be ballots taking place from January until the week before The Championships. If you are successful, you will be informed by post from February 2011 until June 2011.
STEP FIVE
Successful applicants will be able to pay for their tickets by credit card through a secure website or by posting in a cheque.
STEP SIX
You will receive your tickets from the third week of May 20110 -
In addition to the ballot, Ticketmaster usually have a limited number of tickets available for Centre Court and Court No1 available the night before each match.
You can also queue up the night before for Centre Court tickets, or a ground pass. Once in the grounds you can then queue for returned CC tickets, which are sold on for £5.
I've entered the ballot the past couple of years. I got tickets for Court No1 for the first Wednesday the first time, but my friend also got offered Centre Court so we took these. I didn't get offered anything this year but got very lucky by association as my friend (a different one) got Men's Final. That was just an amazing day.
I think I've rode my luck but I'm entering again for next year anyway:D0
