canon pixma mp600

I now have a win 7 wireless laptop and it seems that i may be able to connect my canon pixma mp600 to work on it wirelessly but how? It does not seem to recognize the printer unless i use the usb, i have downloaded aomwin200e24 of which canon seemed to consider i needed but nothing? My main comp is xp. Thanks to anyone who can guide this novice..

    Wireless printers connect to your wireless router, and are then able to be printed from wirelessly from your PC, via the router. If your printer can see the router then your PC can print to the printer.

    You'll need to connect the printer to the PC fist to setup the wireless encryption key etc, to allow the printer to connect to the wireless router.

    I had a quick look at that model online btw, are you sure it does wireless printing? A small review I read didn't mention that function once.

    Ours at work says it does, but I haven't bothered setting it up!

    Ah, the MP600R does it, the MP600 doesn't. :)
