:D ok ta. I dont think this is going to be very MS somehow, more like going to cost me a fortune ...
I am 60 now, always had great skin with few wrinkles, but now I'm finding tiny broken veins on my cheeks & I want to cover them.

Well I think the M&S one that I use is probably £3 now, but a tube lasts ages and it is very good. Have a look next time you're in there. They probably have a tester too.

Another idea is to get one of those all-in-one foundation compacts (Collection 2000 do one for about £4.50) and apply it dry on top of your foundation. I use this as a top coat over the blotches, and it also helps to tone down too much blusher!
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Go and see the reps at the Estee Lauder or Elizabeth Arden counters and get them to try out some foundations on your skin.Ask them and they'll give you a few days of a couple of different foundations to try and see whether they're ok before you decide.
They both do some realy nice ones for older skins in different coverages and they seem to last ages.
I keep going between two or three different foundations all the time because my skin seems to have a mind of it's own at the moment and can't seem to decide just what it wants to be.

I'm only young, but I use this stuff:

Not really a fan of the loads of makeup look, and I've always found that I can apply it and it looks really subtle, but does a good job of covering up the little problems.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

The green stuff is great - and you only need a tiny amount. No 7 isn't break the bank stuff either :)

I am a big fan , as you can tell :D

  • Also, don't forget that you are supposed to use foundation very lightly only were you need it and not to be used all over the face. However, if you use a a light foundation with a brush it will give good coverage. And try going without face powder as that can make you skin look less dewy.

I think you should perhaps book a make up consultation. Most make up counters will offer this for free or for a small charge that can be redeemed against purchases.

I alwalys rate N7 for mid price make up and MAC, Lancome etc for more expensive make up. However N7 do a lovely tinted moisturiser that I think can be used at any age.

I use Laura Geller 'Balance and Brighten' powder in fair. It's a powder/foundation combined.

I always had such good skin that I hardly needed much foundation, and I've never used powder :) yet !
Always used eye make up though, and concealer.
It's a bit hard for me to get to a big shop with consultants though. I have to go to Boots or get stuff online.
I dont like this getting old bit. I'm just not ready to be a sweet wee old lady !!

I never really got on with combined powder/foundation. I always find it quite drying and not very long lasting, but I do have found a cominbed MAC powder foundation that I use thoughout the day to refresh my make up
