I have been trying to get some sense out of Homeserve for the last 3.5 hours. How about this for lack of service?
17th June they came out and obviously did a temporary repair (this was a paid for job) to leaking toilet.
Now today the toilet is gushing away through the seal that they were supposed to have repaired and is worse than before, not to mention completely unusable as all the water from the u bend is on the floor...
Rang them up, the job is supposedly guaranteed, no problem, they will send him out again. Wait an hour, no phone call. Ring up. Ah, the plumber thought the job hadn't been paid, just spoke to them, they will call within an hour. Wait an hour, no phone call, ring them up, spoke to a lass who rang them. Speaks to me, they will be here TOMORROW. I have no toilet, and I can clearly see that they didn't replace the part, so they won't be doing anything except a bodge job or an 'oh yes have to wait for parts' (if they come) tomorrow.
Ask to speak to supervisor, why are they allowing an emergency job to wait until tomorrow? No supervisor, they'll call you back (within an hour presumably? JOKING) probably, you guessed it, TOMORROW!!
So....not ONLY have I paid £90 for a non existent repair, I have now missed out on the opportunity to try to arrange to get a plumber, nobody expresses any empathy or customer relations or problem solving....
Don't bother with a HOMESERVE policy. My experience does not recommend them!
