A slip of paper included with the report and voting form says:
"The Conditions mentioned above are set out in full, as amended, overleaf for your information." But overleaf is blank.

I don't think that they'll be receiving many awards from the plain english language brigade. I'll have to get my carer to explain to me what it means.0

Having an afternoon to spare, I popped along to Walsall for the cabaret, As expected, everything went through with majorities in the 90% s.

Strangely enough, this question was asked. I concluded that the answer given was related to market forces.
The highlight for me was the member who complained about the recent drop in rates and had visited a branch to close his account and open one paying a higher rate only to be told that the higher paying account was for new money only. He asked the chief executive if he could close the account, bank the money and return a week later to open a new account This produced a wry smile and complete silence which was broken by the chief executive saying, "Could we move on to the next queston please ?"0 -
Individual votes don't make a difference largely because of institutional investors, but people speaking at AGM do have a suprising effect. The top brass at a company are not used to being criticised in public and hate it.steady__eddie wrote: »Having an afternoon to spare, I popped along to Walsall for the cabaret, As expected, everything went through with majorities in the 90% s.
I worked for one company where at the AGM the same guy stood up each year and put the directors on the spot quizzing them extensively about why the charges on the policies were so high. The voting was always a walkover but despite that they did begin to reduce the charges I think largely so they had a reply each year rather than squirming in the spotlight trying to defend the indefensible!0
