You would, but you would only receive LHA at the usual intervals (you would not receive it in advance). Also, if you had not had to pay the six months in advance and that capital would have taken you over the £6,000 lower limit, there may be a deduction made from the amount you receive.Gone ... or have I?0

Thanks, I already get some deducted as I'm still on the mortgage with my ex.Hoping to sort that out very soon and then won't need to claim anyway as it will bring me over 6000 cash.:hello:0

You can still claim if you have savings under £16,000. A tariff income will be applied for amounts between £6,000 and £16,000.Gone ... or have I?0

Oh I didn't realise that.I thought it was savings up to 6000 and thereafter capital (ie house) until you hit the 16000 mark.:hello:0
