    Use a soft paintbrush

don't start levering them or they will pop off, not always with the clip in one piece

Carry it outside, carefully hold it upside down and blow hard.

cheers will try that, it must be stinking under it as the "m" key is really sticking!

You can usually undo a couple of screws and lift the keyboard up. Try searching youtube for your model number - there's probably a 'how to' demo up there.

I work at a hospital and they had a can which squirts out pressured air. That shoots the crumbs and things out - don't know if you can get them in the shops but it works on the keyboards there, although they are not laptops.

Compressed air cans are great if it's just dust and crumbs.

But if the key's are sticky you might need to get creative.
If it's the on the bottom 2 rows then you can usually get a small paintbrush or bit of cloth under the keys and clean it easily.
Be VERY careful in taking key's off of the keyboard, it's possible but you can easily break the clips which hold the key's in place.
