How do I promote my listing, and am I safe with paypal

I am selling a luxury trip to the World Cup http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150460789485

Unfortunately the departure date is rather close, so I don't have time to let the auction run for more than 3 days.

Any thoughts on how to attract eyeballs?

And am I safe with paypal, considering it will be e-tickets, not by post?

    Ask for bank transfer.

You can ask for bank transfer but you must offer Paypal.

There is no seller protection for this type of listing with Paypal.

Also, I would include something to verify this is a bona fide item. At the moment you give the glossy details but not the evidence that the buyer will receive anything.

No one is going to BT a wad of money in exchange for you 'saying' this will happen.

Personally I don't think you will get much for it, for all sorts of reasons. Is there not a way you can sell it to a friend/colleague or even donate it to someone. What goes around comes around.

I think I would be inclined to list a summary at the top, along the lines of:

Return VA UC seats LHR to South Africa
X nights in 5 star hotel in xxx
X nights in 5 star hotel in xxx
Internal flights from xxx to xxx (if applicable)
3 World Cup tickets = or however many it is (sorry I haven't read the whole thing)

It is not really clear what you get at a brief glance.

Not likely, but so be it. Attracts a bit more interest anyway.

have you also confirmed with the competition organizers that you can sell this or transfer it to someone else? sometimes T+C's on comps can be quite strict in this regard.

Perhaps you should include a scanned copy of this in the listing. At the moment there is nothing in the listing to suggest it is real.

Obviously if you do scan details in, leave out anything that is identifiable/transferrable.

You may want to delete the date from the title and add the words, FOOTBALL or SOUTH AFRICA. No one is going to search on 2 July. Even, me, and that is my birthday :)

Can't change the title, as there is a bid.

Can't see it selling too well, probably would've gotten a better price a week ago. Neither of the matches you've got tickets for will touch the England team (whether they beat Germany or not).
Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.
