If you join an ISP for phoneline and internet they can charge from about £125 down to about £40 when they have special offers to put in a landline using Openreach to do the physical work.
What do Openreach actually charge the ISP to put in a new line meaning attaching a new line from the tel pole to the customers house ?
Thanks.

AFAICS, it's £88 + VAT.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

OK thanks........it's getting better. :j
But remember this is not to switch on a line that is already there it's to go up the tel pole and attach a new line and then attach it to the customers house.
I suppose if your ISP charge you £110 that includes their fee for arranging everything ???????0 -
The Openreach charge is for everything. As long as the total cost to BT is under around £3400 (old Ofcom figure - 1.10 http://www.ofcom.org.uk/consult/condocs/uso/main/) £55.74 + VAT is all BT charge providers.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0
