it is plastic with a diamond mesh inside with a nasty kink. removal possible?

I'd never try to get rid of kinky ho's...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Removal impossible
Only way is to cut it out and shorten the hose or get a new hose even the hoselock hoses kink0 -

cut out the kink and push a piece of copper etc pipe into it, a couple of jubilee clips and jobs done0

Straighten it out the water pressure will soon expand it.
Failing that you can get the small connectors similar to the one mentioned above, But far cheaper
from wilkinsons or asda etc..Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
