My boyfriend got carried away while doing some weeding in my garden and pulled out most of my pumpkins and squashes thinking it was knotweed. Ooops!
He is still alive, limping a bit (j/k)

Off I go to sow some more, fingers crossed it's not too late...

I think he needs to compensate you in some way

Meal, chocolates, flowers, perfume (all not the cheap variety)0 -

To be honest, I think it's your fault OP. Fancy letting a bloke loose in the garden without explicit, specific instructions on what should / should not be touched.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
oh no, in future you will have to moniter what he touches or put biiig labels around all your plants:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

I've tried educating my OH in what plants are what, it's only been 8 years or so, but she's finally getting to the stage where she can recognise a sweetcorn from a bean.
I still wouldn't dream of letting her loose on my veg patch. The one time she had to do it, she killed my melon ........... and I've never forgiven her for it

Now I'm not being sceptical (okay yes I am) did you ask him to do the weeding or did he volunteer? Maybe it was a ploy so that you never let him do it again!!0 -

Very funny
As it happens, no I did not ask, and he felt terrible. He took me out to dinner and we had a good laugh, he is out of the dog house in case you're wondering...;) 0 -
Don't give up hope. It's taken my OH 40 years to recognise the difference between a foxglove seedling and a weed! And he only volunteered to do some weeding because I think he was feeling guilty at spending so much time watching the World Cup on TV whilst I was out there weeding on my hands and knees. The way England played today, it will probably be another 40 years before I get another weeding assistant again !!!:rotfl:0
