I have gathered to gether all the statements, pictures damage reports that are relevant to a recent bump we had in France. there were 18 pages and I would like to be able to forward them as an attachment to my GMail to the broker. Problem is that I sent the originals to the insurance company and stored the scans of each page/document as a single PDF file.
Now, when I try to send the attachment it takes a long time to load "still working" comes up. It then goes but later I have a postmaster message :-
Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 552 552 5.2.0 a9WJ1e0083mxgn6019XYr2 message size is too big (state 18).
Can I separate them back to make 18 PDF files so I can attach 1 sheet each time?

Hi
If you want to split the PDF file there's a program called 'pdftk Builder'.
See this thread here:-https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2554871Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -

Or use something like Yousendit to send it in one go. They have to download it and will need to warned in advance. You can send the link on your own email rather than by Yousendit in case the Yousendit email gets treated as spam.

Open the combined PDF on your PC, then print to PDF printer driver, selecting the appropriate pages each time0

Is this a free service or do you need to pay?0 -
How big is the single PDF file? Perhaps try splitting it into two parts, and send it in two separate messages...0

Tried compressing it in a .zip or .rar?
To be honest, the size is probably due to the images you've put in it. If you replace those with optimised ones it should be a lot smaller. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
Many thanks,
I will try to split
I used you send it on a previous PC. The email notifiers were excellent - really annoyed my teenage children but it did come through as sound when recording radio via headphone out and line in!
The size of the file is 19114K
I have tried the print options and am offered:-
Microsft XPS
FAX
HP Photosmart
Send to One Note 2007

Its because of the way you scanned them in.
You have scanned them in a very high quality. If you still have the documents, scan them again but with a lower quality.0 -
Hi
Your file size of 19114K is approximately 20MB.
Some email companies will only allow attachment files up to 10MB.
So if you decide to split that PDF file then maybe split it into 3 to be on the safe side.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0
