  • i don't know if anyone else has mentioned this but a girl (on another forum) was giving her day report on how her wedding went, and she was saying that it was raining slightly when people were throwing coloured confetti, and it stained her dress..... arrgggg

    That's why I'm having the freeze-dried rose petals - they don't run ;)
  • I am 99% sure that the venue we have chosen allows confetti. If not we will have bubbles... I would like it though

Sarah they are beautiful can I be really nosey and ask where your necklace is from? My daughter marries soon and her dress is similar to yours the style of necklace goes great with your dress and I think she would like a similar idea for her wedding, if you don't mind my asking.

Hi sethsgran - my jewellery came from Miss Glam Bridal, I had the Danielle range:

I had the necklace, tiara and hair pins.

I wear yellow gold jewellery so was quite limited in my bridal jewellery options since most of it is silver. I liked this though, and my dress had pearl and sparkly embellishments so this went well with it. :)

i didn't think i was having confetti as the venue brochure said it wasn't allowed- but when i talked to them they said its absolutely fine and that confetti, petals or bubbles were allowed.

i quite like the sound of a bubble machine when we are having our first dance- i saw that at a wedding i went to a couple of years ago, and it looked really pretty

Yes, my poor sister got married on a very cold rainy day in October and paper confetti stuck to her sodden dress and stained it. We had dried flower petals, with lavender, for ours and it looked and smelled very pretty. There's always rice, (uncooked, natch!!).

My daughter is marrying in a garden abroad and they only allow rice! We're taking the little bottles of bubbles though, the guests watch the wedding from a bridge above so it will be lovely to see bubbles cascading down on them!
