Yes nearly that time again:rotfl::rotfl:new thread will start after 100 pages so within the next few days or so:D is there anything you would like to see included in the next thread? and i would like to add in more question/answers on first page so it helps out newbies to the postals etc what other questions do you see cropping up in here that may be helpful to have on the one post?

if there is anything else you can think of then let me know :D any other tips that could be added?

One thing I have noticed PPD is that when I post a comp that refers to a kids mag in the title, there's usually someone new (and i'm guessing they are kids) that assumes they can enter here on the forum & posts their personal details. IYSWIM. I've seen it happen a few times on some of the comps I post but I tend to put kids in the title so folks know that it's for their kids to enter. Do you think I should alter my titles on comps so that it doesn't confuse any U'18s that come on here?
Thanks for keeping the postals & monthlies in check btw princess pixiedust :A

Dont give up, I won a £2.5k range cooker a few years back just for sending in a postcard ! ... Just keep believing you will win and you will xx

I second this, have faith. I once felt a big win brewing and told my partner at the time that I was gonna win something big very soon. He just laughed. Within a week I did have a humungous win and even had 1/2 page in the local paper dedicated to me collecting all my prizes around and about in very stylish transport. Keep the faith my friend! :)
    Whether we win or lose,
that we played at all was a winning decision. :D
    2011 wins £12,292
    2012 wins ...
Thank you to all who post on here!!!! :A

the one i remember coming up repeatedly is boomerang postcards, but thats already in the tips post.

i would suggest maybe making it clear somewhere that aioe tends to mean separate postcards for each comp but all can go in the one envelope, unless its stated that they can go on one postcard.

also do email entry comps that also happen to have a postal entry route need to be posted here or on main board ......as we have a few that are either posted on both but not linked, or posted here and not on main recently. if there is a free entry router like email i sure aint spending a stamp on mailing an entry but that means there have been a few i miss out on as i wont enter online unless i can thank the appropriate main board post since i wont remember ive entered it form here iyswim.

possibly a how to link an individual post to the daily/weekly/monthly thread instuctions so that anyone who is inclined to can go add a link tot he relevant thread (though were pretty good at doing that soon as we spot them).

ps. sorry i havent reread the first few posts in detail recently so it may be that these are all covered well enough already.

and while im here, ribena require a proof of purchase for claim so check the code your using is one that the box/label can be sent.

also while im here wingo can all the sparkle mag comps go in one envelope as they are going to same addy as the others which are aioe? (im assuming no they require individually stamped and addressed postcards since theyre not in the first post and you have posted them separately form the ones that can go all, but thought id clarify).

wingo, dont think more can be added to titles as i put kids down on mine as well, is that what you mean?

purplecatlover - thanks for all that, some good ideas for the new thread there thanks, regarding email entries, i know im guilty of that one with the sunday express comp, reason i do that is because as there is limited details given and no end date, the last time i put on main board i got a couple of pm's demanding more info when i didnt have any:( will try putting on main board again though when its running again :D yes all email comps should be put on main baord and if postal/text entries as well then yes only the email route should be posted as its the free option

never knew that about the ribena comp, will have to buy some ribena and keep product and receipt in case i win, not that i will though:rotfl:

who wrote the op for that as it should be updated with that info?

Maybe a link can be added on BOTH postings i.e. "there's also a postal route here", with the link and "there's also an email entry route here", with the link. Where there's an email and postal entry route, I tend to enter via postal  and I have won this way as they probably felt sorry for the solitary postcard they received in their mailbag ;)

GULP.....I just did some totting up and I've spent over £300 on stamps since I started doing postcard comps.......and I've never won from any of them!!! :(:(

Don't get me wrong, I've been lucky with text and online comps but I'm wondering now whether to just stick to those and give up on the postcards ....???????

But, then the angel on my other shoulder whispers "That big postcard win might be just round the corner!"

    Oh, what to do....

    Blue xx

Don't know if you already do them but if not, it might be worth having a look at doing the royal mail surveys to get some free stamps. I limit my postal entries to these stamps so I can't enter loads but what I do enter don't cost me postage. I am v selective about the comps I enter and only go for the ones I'd REALLY like to win.
