I've just texted a couple of comps that have a 83070 number & got a strange message back each time saying ...'please check the destination number and try again. Note all national UK mobile numbers now start with 07'. Has anyone else had this message?

The prize is valid to claim until 30th November 2010. The value of the meal is £50 maximum & does not include drinks. Transport is either rail or flights from ain stations or airports to Edinburgh. Additional transport, such as taxis to and from the station, are not included. The prize is valid until 27 November. Tickets to the shows must be on the date of when the winners claim their prize. Yes! I got that on Tuesday evening, every time I tried to text for a 'peoples friend' comp which ends on 30th.
Think I will try to email them tomorrow when I get hold of a magazine and see if they can take my entry that way.
Just noticed the text number you tried is different to the one I tried 63333. must be something to do with the mobile systems,
hmmmm maybe some kind of glitch somewhere

Thanks crasiela. I thought it was just my phone as I registered with T-mobile to get cheaper calls abroad. (Not that i'm going anywhere but...maybe one day!)

ETA...just double checked and one of the numbers (the picnic one kindly posted by korky) also was a 63333 number same as you craseila. Guess there must be a fault in the network somewhere. I'll try again tomorrow.

I'm with T-mobile too could be just their system. I wonder if anyone else gets the same message on another system i.e. O2, Vodaphone etc

Maybe someone else might be able to check who isn't with T-mobile. If it is T-mobile i'm gonna contact them as I wont know which numbers to avoid if it's different numbers.

ive had no problems with any text comps that i have entered with orange payg. i know that i have eneter 63333 ones, if i can figure out/remember which comp ill try with my o2 phone

have gone back and entered both of these (remembered to use my sisters name for picnic one just in case as i remember entering it before) and got texts back saying thank you for entering for both...that phone is o2. i deff got similar for the picnic one on orange when i entered it.

so a t-mobile glitch?

I had exactely the same problem and I'm with T mobile too so must be a gremlin in their systems!
