How to check if I'm registered as self-employed?

My sound daft but my missus set up as part time self-employed 6months ago or so. She was online trying to register and thought ahe had but i dont think sge did. She put in her postcode and was forwarded to a site which said that she was eligible for some sort of support.

She gets emails from mail@newsletter.fs4b.wales.gov.uk>

    Tried ringing HMRC?

If that is the site she registeredwith, then she probably registered with the website, not with HMRC as a self-employed person.

Has she ever received a UTR (Unique ref number)? Or any letters about NIC?
All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.

She'd know for sure if she'd had anything back from HMRC about paying self-employed NICs. If she hasn't, she probably didn't succeed in registering! Give them a call as DM said.
