Why not buy a wireless router?0

There are a few ISPs who make it difficult to replace the supplied router/modem.
Also, chipset differences between router and dslam can affect your sync speed quite drastically. If you've got a nice combination, it could be preferable to keep the modem chipset you're using right now and just add wireless capability using another access point/router.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
...and generally speaking, an access point is cheaper than a (new) router. Weegie raises a good point, about chipset compatability, but a bit of digging around can help you select a router (quite poss 2nd hand - ebay) which would suit your line better. Check out these forums for pointers;-
