ABBEY Current Account

I have just had a look at my account statement online, and found an entry for £129cr "account adjustment". No other details at all.

I have just called them, and they can't tell me what it is, and said it may be a transfer from abroad. Surely any transfer into my account would have some reference details?

This seems to me like they have adjusted my account.....but they can't tell me why!

I am not complaining....just would like to know whether anyone knows what this may be??

Thanks

Caleo

Does your account have any cashback debit card (or similar) with it? The payment might be that?

No cashback debit card or anything. It would have to be a huge spend to get that amount as cashback.

Oh well, I will just have to make sure it is available for them to take back, as I am almost certain it isn't mine!!

Not often I get something for nothing!!!!:j

  • Sounds like what you would expect to see if they refunded a charge. Have you reclaimed any charges from them?

I haven't had any charges from Abbey ;-), so haven't claimed any. The account is only about 6 months old and I have been back through statements and can't find anything. I can only think it is a mistake on their part and they will be taking it back soon.

    Thanks
