As Tesco have not any Five Pints I ordered some Plus Pints from Waitrose and they only had a few left. They have stopped stocking it as has Ocado. I e-mailed Kerry Foods who supply the milk powder and they didn't respond. Tesco and Waitrose say they haven't stopped selling it but they do not know when they will get supplies in! Anybody else having problems? I noticed on Tesco and Waitrose website that the only milk powder being sold is the value stuff or Marvel! I can't even see Tesco Light Choices skimmed milk powder on their website. Hmmm.
I have had exactly the same problem. I spoke to Kerry Foods yesterday and they tell me they have delisted this item from their range as nobody is buying it. Have now spoken to Tesco Head Office Customer Services and they are not going to stock it again for exactly the same reasons. Both have told me that if enough people complain they will look at restocking this item again. So I suggest if anybody still wishes to purchase this item then e mail or write to Kerry Foods and the sane with Tesco. When I spoke to Tesco this morning they scoured the country for this item but there is not a single store out there stocking it. I am afraid it has gone for good unless we all do something about it - in other words PEOPLE POWER may just be the answer. If anybody finds a product the same as this please let me know.0 -
I e-mailed Kerry Foods but they didn't get back to me. Tesco and Waitrose say they are temporarily out of stock. So now I have decided to try Nestle Nido skimmed powder which is full fat.0

Can anyone remember the name of the manufacturer of the original 5 pints?
With all this blog how can Tesco deny that there is no demand for this product when we have all taken the trouble to register this. How many others are there out there who just couldn't be bothered or even thought that you could do such a thing!
This is the only dried milk I know of that has added vegetable fat. Delicious for making the hot chocolate or Horlicks.0 -
Sorry I don't know who did the original 5 pints but I have a feeling that Kerry Foods might do it.
Well, the Nido was short-lived! I ordered in bulk from Sainsburys only for them to deliver their Basics milk powder. Apparently it is on their website and yet they have no stock. Guy at Customer Services rang me to say that sometimes they put products online 3 weeks before they launch! What is the point of that!? So, I am still in limbo. What is even worse is that Tesco have stopped selling their Light Choices powder online. Now I don't know about anyone else but something doesn't seem right. Ocado, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Asda and Tesco only seem to be stocking Marvel or the value stuff.
I'd love to know what is going on and if anyone else is having problems with their choice of milk powder. 5 pints, Plus Pints and I suspect Nestle Nido are now no longer available. (I can't possibly see Sainsburys offering a product before it's even stocked.I was able to add this to my basket.) Anyone?0 -
Just wait for nido to become available, sounds a bit weird that tehy put stuff online before its actually on the shelf0

I went to my local Sainsburys and it wasn't on the shelf a few days ago. (Looked in both dried milk section and Ethnic food section.) Guy at Customer Services told me that he couldn't get hold of any Nido in any of their stores. Hmmm. I'll go and have another look next time I'm in my local but I'm not optimistic.0

Just to add that after I telephoned Sainsburys I checked their website and Nido has been taken off completely. So much for putting the item on in advance of sales!
The only website to give any info is Ocado. On their Plus Pints it states out of stock and:
'This product is currently unavailable due to limited supply. Please check back soon for more info'. There is a question mark next to this which you can click on and it looks like supplier problems.

might explain why its not available in other supermarkets then, only thing i can suggest is you email sainsburys customer servcies and ask them to try and find out if your locla store could restock it at some point0
