I think you could spend a lot more than £20k to furnish a house from them. Especially if you want one of their divan beds - in the sale at £7855 (was £9245).A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
What about John Lewis or House of Fraser?
ML.He who has four and spends five, needs neither purse nor pocket0 -
I went to stores in our local-ish area in Wiltshire, there is no John Lewis or House of Fraser. The Argos 5% is interesting but buying from a catalogue is not ideal.
Yes, the title was a bit 'sweeping,' but I left it to the stores to state THEIR terms, which none were prepared to do. I shall take a more personal approach now.0 -
I helped a pal compile a wedding list at John Lewis and I am sure there was a discount on some of the items, you could try that approach. Say you are compling a wedding list and ask if there are discounts available on all or some of the items.
Also as a previous poster mentioned, do online shopping via cashback sites and get yourself a rewards credit card for cashback or points on that too.0 -
Go into the store and ask.. far more likely to get anywhere that way than emailing head office.
My brother-in-law is great at that... I'd expect at least a 10% discount if buying in such quantity0 -
I used to work in M&s and it wasn't unusual for customers to ask for a discount on large purchases, you don't need to speak to the store manager it would be the home ware manager, they have a lot of power and if they want there sales up then they always go the extra mile, i have seen for myself some pretty surprising discounts given to people like yourself buying a lot of items in one go.
You would prob be best to go into the store, see what it is you want and then you would be able to give the manager a rough idea of how much you are prepared to spend, you may even get some smaller items thrown in. Good luck0 -
Focus used to a new home buyer discount 10% of six month i believe dnt know if they still do.0
