Can anyone answer this question.
When you are having re pointing done on a house, are you supposed to put a tent around the area that is being done in order top prevent the dust, as much as possible from dispersing into neighbouriung properties.
Is there anything that says this must be done. Should Scaffold be put upto do this job?
Only reason I ask is that next door (terraced house) have had the front ground out for repointing today whilst I have been at work, and I've come home to a god awfulk mess. Dust and other assorted stones etc all over the yard, plants covered with dust which will probably now kill them. Windows full of brick and mortar dust.
Next doors yard has been swept out and washed down, yet mine looks a tip, and I've not had any work done.
1stly should they have tented up, secondly what are my rights to have my yard put back as was.

[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Get them round to clear up your mess too. When they grind out the joints it's an incredible mess. They should hose the wall down in advance to try and minimise this! Just have a friendly word with nieghbours0
