How much does a wedding dress weigh?!

A random question but one I need an answer to quite quickly!
I need to post my wedding dress off but our scales aren't working so I can't input an exact weight into any of the boxes of any courier website - I can measure it easily enough but alas I just don't know how heavy it is! Anyone able to help!? Its only a size 8 (with only a small train). Anyone fancy going to weigh their wedding dress for me pretty please?!

sorry I am of no help here but really you may as well ask how much does a car weigh? So many factors impossible to say.
I would reccomend going for say 5kg which is a lot but better to be over than under so far as couriers
hope that helps"You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -

Your sarcasm is another feature of this site DG - even when you have no idea what you are talking about. To be a smart !!!! you need to be smart.
For the OP, if you have the scales you weigh yourself with, use those. Once holding the item, once without.0 -
Thank you - all sorted now - it weighed 3.1kg in the end - our scales weren't working at all (they were telling me my BMI but not my weight
) so in the end I went round to the in-laws house to use their scales :rotfl:

Glad the in-laws have some use in life (other than producing your other half that is)
Oops, I hope that's ok, that I just came on here to say that, don't want to be accused of letting my fingers run ahead of my brain or anything......;)0
