House of Fraser (Beatties) - refuse expired gift voucher

My wife and I were given £80 worth of HOF vouchers two years ago for our wedding. They expired at the end of May 2010, and they have been refused today at Beatties/HOF Northampton.
Is there anything we can do, or is this money lost? It really feels like bad customer service to refuse vouchers which have been paid for, so effectively HOF have been paid £80 for a piece of paper.
Any advice would be most welcome.

Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!

Sounds like the contract is fairly clear. I have just binned a voucher for £2.50 because it is out of date.0
