My pleasure. I will help where i can as i know just how hard those forms are. I've had 8 yrs experience of form filling, medicals etc.. Its draining having to fight so hard to get help. It does make me laugh how people say how easy it is to get benefits.

I'm the same that on a good day i can get out and about, but during that i will never feel well and i'll end up light headed, in pain and nauseous, but that has become my norm so i cope with it and push myself.
Some days, i can't even get out of bed or wash my own hair.

am the same with my RA but when you do have an ok day you just want to get out, stir crazy most of the time.it is difficult to get dla and it hacks me off people on here slagging benefit scroungers.i worked full time from school until i was diagnosed.just getting back what i paid in.the shake up,getting sick people off benefits doesnt worry me as i have a genuine illness which will only get worse as i get older.i would give ANYTHING to be able to go out and earn my own money again and socialise, have a life but at the moment i cant.if the day comes when i can get under control i will be back out there, cant wait!!:D
    Shine on you crazy diamond..............

My daughter has ME and has not been well enough to attend school for the past 2 years, she uses a mobility scooter to get around if she is well enough to go out. She does get DLA high rate for mobility and middle rate for care.

She did manage to sort her sleeping patterns last summer from not getting to sleep till 8am to being able to sleep around midnight. I found a paper onthe internet on delayed sleep phase syndrome which suggested staying awake for 3 hours longer per day (a 27 hour day) till she was falling asleep at a more suitable time. We talked it over with her psychologist who had not heard of this but said it was worth a try. I don't know if it would work for anyone else but it worked well for her although it was very tiring for the week it took to complete and at least it does not involve any drugs.

It's worth trying. Different things work with different people and if it sorts out a problem, that's one less thing to worry about.
