Pondering on Menorca in late October for half term hols - will it still be hot and sunny or will be get rain ? Don't want to spend a fortune and find its not hot enough to sit out when we get there ! Thank you.

Apart from the weather you may find a lot of places closed as it's not a year round destination. Once summer goes so do a lot of business owners.0

Im not sure when in October you want to go, but we went to Cala'n Forcat for a week last year in the middle of October(i think it was the 11th to the 18th). The weather was perfect for us non sun worshippers, it varied from 65 degrees to a very pleasant 73 degrees during our week. Most of the bars and restaurants were open but the owners that we spoke to told us that a very large number of them close at the end of October. The resort was very quiet but thats just how we wanted it to be. I would certainly consider going again in October but maybe not right at the end of October0

It can be hit and miss at that time of year definitely take something warm for the evening because it does get chilly.0

Our family group have been to Menorca (Calan forcat) in the October half term. On both holidays we sat out , sunbathed by the pool almost every day. As you would expect for October it wasn't scorching and the weather can be variable.
Note as others have pointed out shops and bars etc do start to close down for the season around that time of year.
A really nice holiday destination for families. I would recommend Calagaldana (sp) it has a really nice beach.0 -
If spending a fortune, I'd go somewhere further south.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Would not recommend it as weather very hit and miss. Sea will be as warm as a bath BUT gets dark pretty early in the evening and very cold. It can be a bit desolate as they are starting to really wind down and a few places are closed. As earlier poster said, go further south - thats really your best bet.0
