Just listening to Radio5 and they're saying you hold the thing in the bottom left hand corner and the phone signal drops off.

I think its to do with the metal edge around the outside of the phone. It acts as the antenna (or part of it) and doesnt like it when it comes into contact with human flesh. Apparently apple have a £25 accessory that goes over the top of the metal strip and will 'resolve' the issue!!! not exactly what you want after spending £xxx nr of pounds on your new toy!Useful is beautiful0

As someone said, it's strange that apple have this accessory reading and waiting.
It doesn't protect the screen or the touch panel - just that metal edge...0 -

I hope they release a video on how to handle it 'correctly', I could do with a good laugh.0

Several videos here: http://gizmodo.com/5571171/iphone-4-loses-reception-when-you-hold-it-by-the-antenna-band
...and official Apple instruction on the exact finger placement required if you want your iPhone 4 to have any reception: http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/24/apple-responds-over-iphone-4-reception-issues-youre-holding-th/0 -
Apparently you just have to get the right wavelength, if you stick the forefinger of your other hand in your free ear and hum at precisely C# you can beam into space with it, even contact Mars or Uranus.0

lol nope £25 eachDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
