                    Hi!
I need to clean my duck feather duvet. It won't fit in my washing machine, so checked out the dry cleaning option - prices vary from £16 to 19.00. Any ideas or recommendations. I could just buy new one for that price, but would rather not....
Thanks

Hello Mee
It won't fit in your washing machine but it will fit in the washing machine at the launderette.;) Ask the launderette attendant which size of machine is suitable.
I take mine to the launderette, I put them through two washes (using Ariel biological washing powder) and then tumble dry in the launderette.............then bring them home, hang on the washing line in the garden to air. This is the perfect time of year to get duvets washed and line dried.;)
I would never take them for dry cleaning, I wouldn't want to sleep with all those chemicals.

I had my 10.5tog superkingsize one service washed and dried at the launderette and it was about £16.0

Thanks guys. I considered the launderette but wanted someone to wash it whilst I was on hols, will follow that option.... Thanks for the reminder about chemicals used in dry cleaning...Free thinker.:cool:0
