Bought new shoes but they look worn

I just received some shoes that were described as "new" and the seller sent them recorded delivery, so they have been signed for. However, upon opening the package, the shoes looks like they *might* have been worn. The soles are dirty (although they don't look worn) and some of the leather is cracked, although this could be the natural condition of the shoes (not very clear on the photos). I am not sure if they have actually been worn or not or this is just the condition from storage and packing/sending etc. I have written to the seller to advise of the condition of the shoes but dont know what to do next. I really like the shoes but I am a bit peeved at what I paid for them to not receive them in perfect condition. The seller only sells shoes as a business and has 100% good feedback so far. They didn't come in a box.

Probably best to wait & see how the seller responds. What is their feedback like? Could the soles have been marked by someone trying them on & just walking in them for a few minutes to try them? Are the insides marked?0

I think it sounds like it could be from where the shoes have been tried on rather than actually worn properly. But if you are unhappy with the condition you will be entitled to return the items for a refund.0

If the seller is a business seller only dealing in shoes it's unlikely that she's tried to pull the wool over your eyes, as the others say it could just be from someone trying them on. I would wait for a reply from the seller before doing anything, these days large sellers will do their best to keep their reputation intact.0

I think what has probably happened is that they are either shop seconds so people would have tried them on within a shop and she would have bought all the pairs that were unsold. However, they have definitely had some wear as one of the soles is really dirty (although no wear marks if that makes sense?) and the leather cracked. I just thought they would be brand new, not shop seconds. Seller has 100% feedback and she only sells shoes. The insides are unmarked and smell unworn.0
