Moved the goalposts

I have previously posted on here about my work/redundancy scenario. Briefly, I work for a company that are next week going to make over 100 staff redundant. My department have had new T&C's drawn up that will extend the week by 8 hours for £2 an hour less. Myself and another colleague declined this new contract so was put in a redundany situation. We have not had notice issued so I have lost what I was going to get because I have been fortunate to find another job so handed my notice in.

Yesterday I had a stage 1 grievance meeting where I put my case forward for trying to get something (pay SAYE and wanted to continue). After putting my case across my manager and HR adjourned to make a decision. After an hour I was called back into the room and told that they have upheld their decision and declined my request. In summing up my manager told me that the 2 new members of staff that have started what we thought to be our replacements are in fact not. When the new contract was presented to us as part of the consultation process they told us that 6 staff would be required, this now seems to have changed to 8 (if I withdrew my resignation). He kept on referring that we were still under consultation, however we were told 6 months ago that on the majority agreeing the new T&C's we were out of consultation. We have not had anything since this time, so I have asked for written proof of this continueing consultation. It appears to me that they are making things up as and when they cannot come up with an answer.

We now have to move to a Stage 2 grievance. However I would have left the company by then. But I am going to do it as I want to prove they have lied through this whole process and not conducted a proper consultation procedure.

Has nyone had a similar scenario????
