Does anyone have a freephone or normal number for Vanquis.They keep charging me £1.00 everymonth i call them they say sorry and refund it.But the bloody call costs nearly £1.00.Getting a bit fed up with it.

Surely the £1 they charge you is what they call the minimun finance charge which seems to appear if you use the card a few days before your statement date.

So, I did some searching and researching and it turns out that Vanquis was set up by Provident Financial in 2002. Vanquis only have 2 ways for you to contact them, which is either by regular mail, OR by a number that costs you 7p per minute. That isn't good enough. I am pretty sure sending an email to enquiries@providentfinancial.com, for them to forward to Vanquis will work, I will let you know though if I remember. They are based in the same city, so I really can't see how they can't simply pass on some info and get someone to email back or call.

After sending an email to the above address, Vanquis actually rang me, helpful chap, discussed my issue, and then proceeded to tell me that the reason they don't have email communication right now, is because it was not secure, and people we're sending bank details and other information in, which isn't the best idea when its not secure. He did inform me they are looking into something, and its something they intend to try and offer in the future. I mentioned the secure message center that Capitalone provide, maybe thats the way they will go considering their website has received some tlc lately.
