I don't think you will, demand is too high. Lots of people are on holiday at that time. Somebody else will pay for a full week and they will take their money instead.

You could try http://www.peakdistrict-nationalpark.com/accommodation/Holiday-Cottages some do between 2 and 14 nights, not sure if they have the dates you require, you will have to check.
  • Have You Tried Ebay, There Are Lots Of Cottages In Derbyshire On Ebay, I Usually Go Up For A Few Days And Have Never Had A Problem With Getting Somewhere. You Could Always Email The Seller For Other Dates If They Dont Have What You Want, They All Seem To Use Ebay Regularly . Hope This Helps You:d
  • Why do you want to come to Derbyshire at New Year, I live here and would love to go to somewhere else:rotfl:

If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it

Have to agree with richardw. Very few cottages will be available for less than a week at New Year. If you're prepared to take a big chance and leave it until the last minute, you may find something still available and be able to negotiate a short break if you start searching just after Christmas. Probably very unlikely though...
