Hi folks
I'm lucky enough to have been given some tickets for Bon Jovi tomorrow night at the o2! I have only been to London as a child and I'm confused!!
Can I get a boat from east india dock to the o2? it would seem to be the quickest route from the travel lodge that I've booked!
many thanks

hi, you are right east india dock to the O2 is really close but there is no boat! easiest way (i assume you are staying in east india travelodge?) is to either get the dlr to canning town and then jubilee line westbound one stop to north greenwich or walk/get the dlr to canary wharf (abt 15 mins) and get the jubilee line eastbound one stop to north greenwich again.
if you need eating go to canary wharf where there are loads of restaurants/pubs etc and contrary to popular belief they are not all a rip off!
hope this helps0 -
Yes thank you it did help! thank you very much! it is the east india travel lodge that we're staying in.0

let me know if u need more info as i used to live at east india and i work in canary wharf0 -
Another question!
Do I need to buy an Oyster card? or can I buy a off peak travel card? I won't need to use any transport untill after 6pm today and obviously tomorrow is Saturday so offpeak should be ok?
Would I be correct in thinking that I would only need a zone 1? I will only be going to the o2, possible via Canary Wharf as suggested?0 -
Oops, just been studying the underground map and I think I'll need zones 1-30

get an oyster card as they give you the travel cheaper. u have topay £3 deposit for each one plus stick some money on there to cover tha fares but you can get the £3 back if you give the card back at the end of your w/e.
obv depends on where you are planning going to over the w/e, but if you are only going to the o2 then if you go via canary wharf like i told you above, a zone 2 will be enough, if you go via canning town you will need a zone 2-3 only.
may be worth walking to canary wharf jubilee line to pick up yr oyster card as i dont think you can get new ones out of the dlr machines (dlr stations dont have ticket offices, only machines)0
