Housing Benefit overpayment.

Hi,
I received a letter today stating that I have been overpaid housing benefit, they've based it on not having my child tax credit details. Now when I got my HB notice I rang them up 3 times as to me we was getting too much, as my partner is working. Every time I spoke to them they confirmed each time that my tax credits was on the system, a few weeks ago I sent in my new tax credits notice as it had gone down my 38p, before sending it I rung HB up to notify them over the phone and the lady put a note on our claim, when speaking to her I asked her to comfirm to me one more time if our tax credits was down and how much for, everything she said back to me was correct. In giving her our new amount, she said that our benefit won't change that much as it's only gone down a little. So I ge this lovely letter from them this morning, I ring them up and guess what.... my tax credits aren't on my claim. I said to the lady that I'd spoken to 3 people and even asked for our claim to be looked at again as it seemed too much but everytime I was told the same thing, your tax credit is down and everything is correct. I've put in for an appeal but I don't know how much more I can take from them as this happened to me only is March and again it was there error and that put their hands up, but I can't believe it's happended to me again. The fella I spoke to said my 3 calls had been logged so I hoping that they'll listen to them and hear back that my CTC was listed. If anyone has any information I'd be so grateful as I'm sick to my stomach.

No - and that was another reason why I rang, when I spoke to them they said it's on the system so it doesn't matter. All my calls were logged so if they play them back they will hear every time me being told it's all there. Don't know what else to do cos this isn't the first time they've done this to me.0 -

Sorry, I don't understand your comment!
I'm really stressed and worried at the moment, so if you don't have anything helpful to say please keep it to yourself.0 -

Just to update you on your judgement of me and my family - I have my phone records to back me up! It's nice to know that you work hard all of your adult life and pay your taxes and NI and there are still people out there knocking you for getting that extra help to stop you from having to sign on to be able to live. :T0
