Thank you - you made me feel alot better!
Sorry for the late reply...it's one that has side which go out like this: /\. Imagine a skirt in the shape of a capital 'A' with the top cut off for you to get your waist in, and you aren't far wrong. Looks great on hourglass figures as has a tendancy to skim over any excess flesh on bum/thighs/tum.

I'm running the VSP challenge and have joined the Sealed Pot as well as I have 3 pots running and all are no where near full so will keep me motivated to continue in saving the odds and sods in 2011

You got a mortgage and going to become a MFW now?
I have 46p in my ISA at the moment, and won't be doing anything on the mortgage until I know that I have a savings cushion again. Once the debt is cleared (soon, so soooooon!) I'm going to be PADding into my ISA until I finish the allowance for this year, and I'm also doing Palema's Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge as well as trying to fill my own Sealed Pot (well, sealed icecream tub really)
It does make sense to do some work on clearing the mortgage, but I won't be doing it with as much fervour as trying to clear my debts. I want to get to the point where I'm no longer reliant on my annual bonuses for things like holidays and car insurance, and that involves savings not paying off the mortgage.

Spends today have been £1.80 on tea and a scone - absolutely essential after trekking through the snow
I have also put 60p into my Sealed Pot and a £2 coin into my other piggy bank. Maybe I could put the coins from the other piggy bank into the mortgage? It would only be about £10 per month probably but better than nothing! What do folk think?
I suspect I need another post about all these savings pots so I can try and figure out what to do with them!!

Okie-doke, soon I will be debt-free (Woo!!) and am going to be saving instead of paying off things I've probably sold already :rotfl: So, how best to do this?
ISA
I can pay another £2551.49 into this by the end of the tax year. I've nothing in it at the moment, as that's where all the loan savings have been hiding. This is where I'll be PADding from now on
Sealed Pot
This is an old ice-cream tub. I'm paying 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 20p coins into there. The occasional pound coin too. I'm going to open this at Christmas next year.
M&S Money Bank
Some of you might remember me queuing up to buy this at the M&S Penny Bazaar!! I'm paying 50p pieces into this and the occasional £2 coin too.
Virtual Sealed Pot
Palema is running the VSP Challenge so every Friday I'll be putting a little money in there. I think this will be my slush fund for the Olympics to be honest.
What to do with all these savings?!
The ISA will be my emergency fund, and will be for any holidays/treats throughout the year. If I PAD into it then when something breaks or amazing concert tickets come up I will be able to pay for them without breaking out the credit card.
In theory my Sealed Pot is for Christmas, but I already save £30 into an account for Christmas and birthdays and am saving some cash for this through work too. I might save up this "spare" cash and then put the money into my ISA next year or pay a wee lump off the mortgage.
Imagine! Savings! *squee*
