Take that British Gas! Just switched to E.ON to Fix Online8
British Gas really annoying us by sending a bill for £3.42 to a debt collection agency for an unpaid part of a final bill in a previous address. We moved and took British Gas with us, so they have always been aware of our current address (and we have paid about £800 in gas since we've been at the new address).
They say we paid £76 of the final bill but not the remaining £3.42. Why would we do that? We called and gave meter readings (of which I have kept photographs!).
What a bunch of cretins!
Anyway, have just switched to E.ON for all our fuel, should save a bit in the next year and won't have bloody British Gas to deal with. Will be taking a photo of the meter reading again on the changeover day!

E.On will use the opening reading that BG give them which may or may not have any relevence to the real world. Just because you give them a reading and take a photo of it doesn't make it real. They still have time to screw you around some more :wall:0

molerat, wrong way round - you give your start readings to the NEW supplier who then feed them through to the losing supplier. Only a problem if BG don't accept them.0
