Just tell them you are already a member.

I do, same as I tell the energy company / phone people I live with parents and dont pay bills, the kitchen/double glazing/consevatory people that I rent my house, Charity people that I already have a standing order with them etc etc!

Although I am still trying to think of a new one for the credit card people as they no longer believe I am under 18!!! :rotfl:

For the credit card ones just tell them you're bankrupt that'll usually shut them up :). I often use the 'my partner deals with all that, I just let him get on with it' which is a load of rubbish because it's usually me that sorts utilities and so on.

With aggressive salespeople, there's always the option of throwing it back in their face.

How about this. In a reasonable loud voice, ask them what sort of adult films they have. (They do have adult films). Then start asking about whatever speciality !!!!!! that seems might embarrass the salesperson. Ask if they can look it up on their computers that they have with them. "Do you have any hard core films with Eskimos in them?" And just go on and on trying to find out how wide their range is. Even better if their laptops are online and you can get the DVD covers of hard core showing on their laptops.

I asked the LoveFilm salesperson whether they ever "throttle" the supply of films if people rent too many. I was most certainly told that this never happens, and "unlimited" is "unlimited". Albeit my current experience (I've been with them a bit more than a month including two free weeks) has been that so far the service is excellent. I'll see how it goes on. I've noted that the capped plans clearly indicate a price of £2 per rental. At the moment I'm paying less than £1 per rental on 3 at home/unlimited.
