It`s Not expensive! it`s costing me £40 for one session and £12 if ever i need a booster and they have a help and support line,
The reason i posted this to see if anybody else had heard of it as it was my neighbour who had it done 4 years ago, when i say neighbour she moved next to me in the last couple of months, like everyone else i had not heard of it, she has not had a cig in those 4 years!
Thing is why have we not heard of this if people were getting it done 4 years ago?0 -
I really do think that the government should be doing more to help people who want to stop, ie, pay for your laser therapy if it works, or do more studies to see if it does what it says in the video.
The thing is, We all know that will never happen, the reason for this is we hear so many people moaning about smokers and how much it costs the NHS but where does all the NHS money come from in the first place?.........Cigarette and Tobacco taxes.
Tax from Cigarettes = 8.1 Billion (Politics.co.uk)
NHS spending on cigarette related illness = 1.7 Billion (money.msn.co.uk)
So why the hell do the NHS moan about it? I think we get a good deal from Smokers because if it wasn't for them, then my taxes would go up to help fund the NHS, So for those who wish to keep smoking, Leave them alone and for those who wish to quite then help them, Just stop bloody moaning about them.
A smoker is killing himself/herself not me, but each one of us that Jump into our cars and vans are killing far more people than Smokers. FACT0 -
To be honest I don't think you're quite in the right frame of mind to give up smoking yet Jamesy,
good luck though.
With regards to cost - a recent BBC article puts the cost of smoking to the NHS as over £5 billion. There is also the administration of taxes which takes a chunk plus policing smuggled tobacco.
The table I recently read said that £10 billion was collected in cigarette and tobacco sales and my guestimate would be that smokers would be contributing about £1 billion to the NHS.
If you all do stop smoking, rest assured the NHS will survive

Heres a recent article that i found

Jamesy - did it work?0

Yes, I'd be interested to know if it works. If it does then I would consider it money well spent!!! I've tried all sorts with marked lack of success:( But I'd be willing to give this a go if it worked. One thing I must say though, I do wish non smokers would stop going on about it, it might be just me, but the more they go on the more I dig in!!! I'll give up because I want to, not because the "banem" brigade go on about it;)0
