Never heard of this.
There's a long-running stop-smoking thread here
As this one is not an Old Style topic, I'll move this thread later, and it may be merged. :rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
OOW I heard about this when I was in Germany last year.
I was talking to a lady at a beer festival who had had it done two years ago, she said that she just "woke up the next day as a non smoker" she didn't think it would work but it did, she said that she found it so easy, and had tried a hundred times before, this lady was about 50 and said that she had been smoking for about 30 years.
I looked into it when I got back to the UK but there is only about 2 places that do it, one is in Aberdeen the other is in Kent. You have it done one day then you have to go back the next day to have the treatment again, apparently it is a small thing in your ear that feels no worse than having them pierced for a second or two and takes about 10 mins per time.Ebay 13

Instead of spending money on lazer wotsits... why not talk to your doctor about getting free help and quitting aids on the NHS? Also speak to local stopping smoking groups for moral support?Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Think about it - if you were tempted and all of a sudden a red beam from space burnt your hand...would you do it again?

The NHS doesn't work for everyone, I've had patches, buty as soon as I go onto the lower ones I start smoking again.
I used the little sweeties when I was on the plane but they're not a way of getting someone like me to stop.
I've been hypnotised twice - both times lasted till next morning then started again.
Laser treatment sounds good to me, if it works. I need to know more about it. I don't mean the costs, I mean how good is it long term...
