I used to be a legal secretary. We often had people come into the office with the same problem. Lots of solicitor offer free debt advice appointments so it wouldn't hurt to go and talk to them. They can help get your repayments down to £1 a month, as a previous comment stated, and if you are unemployed, you could be eligable for legal aid so won't have to pay for the service.0
