Benefits for part-time working mother about to be made redundant?

Hi
I wonder if any one has any advice on this? My wife is currently working 16 hours a week and is looking after our eight month old son the rest of the time. With my full-time wage we just about manage. At the end of August it looks like she will be made redundant. Will she be able to claim Job Seekers Allowance if she is only looking for a replacement part-time job? or is there another benefit that could be claimed if she can't claim JSA?
Any help greatly appreciated!

you might get more tax credits depending on your wages0

You could be better off looking at tax credits for your family as a whole an JSA for her independantly. Did you know there are benefits calculators online with which you can check your entitlements? There's no reason she can't check now to see where you'll stand after she is redundant. There's one HERE.I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.
