What the best appliance insurance please

I purchased a new iron and washing machine on monday and a cooker about a year ago which i think i should get cover for .i didnt take out the extended warranty as i couldnt afford it.

Ive got the repair man coming out next friday to see the washing machine i bought from comet as its making a squeaky noise and it knocks when it spins even though we levelled it correctly

None - Just put the money you will have spent on the insurance policies aside so you can buy new ones if the items fail! If they don't you will have a nice pot of money!
  • Good idea dougk, they shouldnt really go wrong should they,we had a washing machine for 12 years that didnt ever break down

True - with most appliances these days they will go wrong in the first year or at a later date when you have hopefully saved up enough to buy a new one anyway

Have always wondered though this might be useful addition to house contents policys - i.e. a single premium to cover all your TVs, PC, DVD players, washing machines, etc,.....

Domestic and general do an extended warrenty for a group of home appliances. If I remember you can add other appliance to your group as and when you buy them.
