funding for laptop and broadband

hi, sarah123 posted regarding "free laptops" i wanted to know where to apply for this. please i do not want this thread to be about wright or wrong i just want some advice from you thanks x x

Hi Boesgirl, I'm pretty sure this scheme was only available in England? But I could be wrong - wouldnae be the first time. :rotfl:

It wasn't applicable to me, so I've no idea of the ins and outs of it, but I remember [only too well] some of the debates that were going on when it first launched. Made for quite an interesting read.

I would imagine its likely to not be launched again any time soon due to the rampant abuse.


I was offered so many by people it was unreal. They were more interested in getting a couple of hundred quid for them so they could go to their pub than giving their kids a fighting chance. I never bought one to sell on and I told those trying to flog them to me exactly what I thought but there were loads on Ebay.
