A guy smashed into the back of my car, I was approaching lights and they were going amber so I slowed down and stopped on red, unfortunately he didn't. He went off in an ambulance, I have whiplash and my car is totalled. Now I am being contacted by lots of personal injury companies, no one will admit giving them my mobile but that's another story. My question is....it is worth the bother....you hear so many bad things about these conpanies. if it is how do I work out which is best. I have lost income by being off work which I really need to recoup...and had a bit of trouble sleeping with the neck and backache.

You should bother! But don't feel pressurised by these callers.
Get some recommendations from locals (friends/own solicitor/local bodyshop/broker) and use them to help you choose.
(Or if you want to, look for cashback claim handlers on the net who pay you a commission for giving them the business - some pay £500)0 -
Also look at whether you have legal expenses cover through your motor insurance policy, trade union or trade body membership.0
