Help with paying for a funeral

My Parents need help with paying for funeral costs...
They contacted the social fund, and have been means tested, and the social fund has not paid for the full amount... They now need to find approximately £600... The problem is my mom is on incapacity benefit, and my Dad - who had to give up work to care for my dear brother who has now passed away, is trying to find work... So they do not have enough coming in to pay the £600.. Surely there is some sort of other help that they can get??? Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry for your loss.
The only suggestion I can make is whether either your mum or dad worked in fields which might have a 'benevolent fund', or perhaps via a union if either was in one.Signature removed for peace of mind0
