TESCO car insurance- bonus clubcard points for not leaving!

My car insurance was up for renewal today and I've been getting alternative quotes as Tesco's wanted to charge me nearly £90 extra for protecting my no claims (have 8 years now).
Got a much better quote from Lloyds TSB (nearly £100 cheaper). Called Tesco's to cancel and suprise suprise they offered to look at the price for me. They ended up being about £10 more expense than Lloyds TSB in the end, plus have also given me 150 bonus points per month along with the normal points I get from buying the policy if I stayed with them!:D
Just shows what you can get by threatening to leave.

My wife does this every year.. She finds the cheapest quote then phones them. Last year they couldn't match the quote (was about 20 quid in it), but could double her clubcard points (buying on tesco credit card) and send her 20 quid in tesco vouchers...0
