I have always updated my iPhone at work, but recently I have had to swop computers with my boss, so all my iTunes are now on his computer. Is there a simple way so that my iTunes are on my computer?
Also, as I will be going on maternity leave, how do I then make my laptop at home my new iTunes computer? I have to share that with my bf who does use iTunes, so I guess I would just have to go in a different "user" on the computer, so we can both have our own version?

To get them off your bosses PC you would have to copy the itunes library (including the library file) to an external HDD. You could then load it back into any computer.
As for the laptop, simply create a new user and load itunes into your account and load your library into it. What you do is hold down the shift key when you open itunes and it asks you to select your library file.

Are you allowed to have software like iTunes on a company laptop?
Most companies I know take a very dim view (ie disciplinary action) about the installation of anything that they haven't specifically authorised. I've seen cases where the person was dismissed on the spot0 -

Right, not sure what an external HDD is, might have to ask the techie guy we get to come in from time to time.
I know there is something that links all our computers together which is for my Word and Excel documents so I can access them from the other computers.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Yeah, you're probably right in "normal" companies. But I work for a one man band who is stuck in the dark ages. Don't think he is too keen on my stuff being on his puta, but apart from that, generally lets me get on with what I want.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

What company with such restrictions gives employees "Administrator" or "Power User" rights?0 -

Ok, then it was rather for gaining administrative rights...
Your post sounded like they had admin rights and the company was surprised that they installed software.0 -
Try a program called "senuti" (thats itunes backwards lol) it back loads all your music from your ipod/iphone into itunes.0
