Hopefully someone can offer some advice.
I've made an offer on a property of 160k and this has been rejected. The EA has said he wants 165k
He's offered to decorate as the property prior to the sale, what should I do next?
Can I offer 162k or 163k and ask him not to do the decorating.

Yes whatever he decorates will probably not be to your taste anywya,so you'd want to decorate yourself.
I would offer £162,500,which is half way. What is the asking price of the proeprty may i ask?0 -
It was an offer overs 159k - (England)Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0

tell them not too bother decorating as you will want to do that yourself.
i just went sale agreed on a house that was on the market for £165000. husband and i put in an offer of £160000, then it sat for a while and it went to £161000 then we put an offer of 162K it then went to £162.5k we put 163K bid up again to £163.5k then we put an offer of £165k and everyone else dropped out.
just go up in small increments and take your time. do not think they will sell if you do not automatically bid up.0 -
go to £162K do not offer him too much. he is chancing his arm.0

I hate that when they say offers over £159k and then when you offer £160k say they want £165,why didn't they say offers in region of £165 in first place.
I think they are pushing their luck and I would go in at £161k now and then go up to £162K.If you're a first time buyer you are in excellent position too as anybody chain free has to be less of a risk than people in a chain, like we are finding out.Good luck0 -
:T It's mine !!!!!!
Sale agreed - need to count down to moving day now and pray that nothing goes wrong..... thanks for all the tips - I would click the thanks again if I could - finalised on 162.5 - offered 161 as 2nd offer
