Somehow this italian bidder slipped through the net, i thought i had blocked....anyway against my better judgement i sent it...
well as you can guess it's lost!...Buyer put in dispute and immediatly went for a claim, 8 days later ( abit early)....anyway a couple of weeks have passed and i want to refund but the money is held...I don't want to the take the risk of just sending hiom the money via paypla, i want it to show as a refund....what happens next, do i just wait for buyer to win claim...any help please.
Also what do R.Mail need as proof
cheers

You should be able to close the dispute by refunding, if not phone paypal and ask them. Whatever you do DON'T just send them a new payment as that doesn't stop the claim and they can still get their original payment back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No I can't do it either in Ebay or Paypal....in ebays "resolve dispute" it just links me to Paypal and I'm given the options to respond to dispute as..."i can show proof of posting" (low priced item, so havent bothered)......"I have not posted the item and I will refund the payment".( i have posted)....and,"I can provide proof that I refunded the payment for this transaction"......but when i click on transaction, the funds are held and no option to refund.....
Never had a problem refunding before....but then i generally sort it before buyer goes for a full claim......I'm just a bit puzzled as to why i can't, but as you say, I'm reluctant to do a seperate payment for a refund.Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0
