How long should i give them to pay?

I have just sold 3 items on ebay, they finished on saturday night and sold to 3 different buyers. So far only 1 buyer has paid! how long should i give it before opening a case?
I have not sold on ebay for years and forgot to put immediate payment required. I have now sent 2 invoices to the buyers but have still not heard from them.

What should i do next??:(
would love to win an ipad!

You cant put immediate payment on auctions. Its 4 days before you can open a case I would drop an email politely requestion payment in 24 hours or for them to contact you if they have a problem.

If no response open a non paying bidder dispute. You can the close it 4 days later to receive your final value fees back. Then you can relist

I would just send a message via the ebay messaging system saying that it has now been 4 days since the auction finished and you dont appear to have recieved payment yet. Could they please get in contact and either pay for the item or if they have any problems to message you so that you can assist in any way you can. Also say that if no contact is made by friday then you will have to report them to ebay and open a non paying bidder dispute via ebay.

just keep it nice and polite. You didnt state payment terms so it might be that they are intending to pay on a later date (payday maybe?). I wouldnt just keep sending the invoice, a seller did this to me (resending it three times in two days, dispite their listing saying you had 5 days to pay, I just wasnt able to get to my laptop!) and it really annoyed me! If they had sent me a simple message asking when i was planning on paying I could have just answered them!

On my listings I request payment within 4 days, if this would be a problem to please contact me. 4 out of 8 items bid on in the last month have been NPB, no contact after the auction end except one. I'm now just going to open NPB on day 4. Quite honestly 4 days after auction end is plenty of time to either contact or pay. If they've changed their mind why can't they have the courtesy to say so. I would probably offer a mutual cancellation if they seemed genuine. Then I can either do a 2nd chance or relist rather than having something hanging around.
I don't know if the sunshine has brought out more idiots.
Giggles how could you have responded to a message if you couldn't get to your laptop to pay? Am I missing something?

I too would email them politely & say a dispute will be opened in 24 hrs if you don't get a reply. I usually word it "in order to reclaim my seller fees"; that way you don't sound too bullying & are taking steps for a valid reason.

I include a statement in all my listings now to pay within 5 days, but I always re-invoice & message them before opening a dispute. Sadly, I'm finding a lot of non paying bidders at the moment (about 30% of any list of items).

I understand that some people may want/need to wait a short while before paying but surely its polite to let the seller know this when you get the invoice? I don't mind if buyers let me know, but when you just don't hear anything you get suspicious.

I have ebay on my phone so can bid, message, search etc on there but need to get onto my laptop to pay. I was waiting for a combined invoice hence why I didnt pay when items ended as there were 11 in total (although I also did most of this bidding on my phone too anyway!)

I normally send them another invoice and add a note in, something like

" The item you won is packaged, addressed and ready to post, just waiting on your payment"

If they don't pay you can't even give negative feedback !

They can get an unpaid item strike against them though, (if you open a dispute & they still don't pay) and sellers can block people with these from bidding.

I agree, it would be useful to put "Timewaster" in their feedback!

Thanks, I don't even think about phones as I don't have an iphone, or whatever they're called. Often then when people say that their buyers have been doing all kinds of things on ebay but not paying, it could be that they're doing that from a phone.
