My paypal account has been hacked and I've lost nearly £900. What do I do?

I've just found out that my paypal account has been hacked and that I've lost nearly £900. I am now overdrawn on my debit card too! I phoned paypal and they are 'looking in to it.' But what else should I do. I am so upset I cant think straight.

If you had credit card details in the paypal account cancel those and if your bank account was linked then report it to your bank and get them to close it and move it all to a new one.

In the meantime wait for Paypal to reply to your report. Having never had to deal with it I don't know what their procedure is I'm afraid.

Are you sure you were hacked and you didn't just have an easy to guess password?

Have you ran an anti-virus or checked your computer for any trojans or keyloggers?
